| Have you ever had that feeling that you’re confined to your job? The I’m-stuck-in-a-routine kind of feeling? That was me, 6 months ago. That feeling was eating me up inside until someone took a chance on me.
I love working at Hybrid Insurance Group. Not only do I have a truly inspiring, dedicated boss, I’m part of a team made up of insurance professionals who are determined to keep the success and prestige of our company alive and well.
Working for Earl, you become enthusiastic about your work and challenge yourself to do things you didn’t think you could. Earl gave me the chance to work with Hybrid in January, this year. I started out as a receptionist and was also Earl’s assistant. He was proud to tell me that there is room to grow and advance in our company because things are always changing for the better. Recently, I was promoted to marketing and social media director and now have an active role in the company and in keeping up the pace that has made Hybrid so successful. When I get tired after a long day of working and keeping up with my very active two-year old, I remember that when I’m sound asleep at 3 am, Earl is up working and thinking of ideas to help improve the company all while watching CNN. That kind of dedication and commitment doesn’t happen everyday.
Hybrid isn’t always nose to the grindstone work. We play hard, too. Our company has weekly happy hour on Fridays, where we sit and talk to learn about each other and hear great stories of our lives. If you're in the area, please feel free to drop by and join us. We play golf, have outings and give back to the community by going to fundraisers and learning how we can help those who aren’t able to help themselves.
So yes. For the first time, in a long time, I can say that I truly love my job. In the state our economy is in now, I consider myself and my peers at Hybrid extremely lucky to not only be employed, but to be able to wake up everyday knowing that we as a team can help change the insurance industry for the better.
